Leave Coordinator - Full Time

Job Description:

The Leave Coordinator is a key position within the Benefits Department and plays an important role in coordinating and administering all leaves of absence programs including FMLA, ADA, STD, LTD and Worker’s Compensation for all LARSON and Affiliate employees in compliance with all applicable federal and state laws. The Leave Coordinator will work with medical providers, insurance companies and nurse case managers to ensure that all leaves are administered effectively and with the employee’s overall well-being in mind.   • Serve as the subject matter expert for all leaves across the organization ensuring all interested parties have up to date, accurate information to best support our employee and their overall wellbeing and return to work when possible.    
  • Interpret and administer leave programs and policies in accordance with applicable federal and state employment law and educate local HR representatives and managers regarding regulatory compliance in their specific location.
  •  Administer all aspects of our workers’ compensation programs.  Provide case management and serve as the liaison between the Worker’s Compensation insurance carrier and all interested parties at LARSON ensuring that the best interest of the employee and the Company are at the center of our leave practices. 
  •  Serve as the first line approver of leaves based on relevant medical and other applicable information.  Coordinate and organize all medical information and ensure that HIPAA and employee privacy guidelines are closely monitored and effectively executed. 
  •  Manage all administrative aspects of leaves and workers’ compensation claims to include tracking hours used.  Communicate with employees and appropriate personnel regarding approval of leaves and workability status. Ensure that all reportable workers’ compensation claims are submitted to company’s vendor within 24 business hours from the date of the incident and tracked on the OSHA log as required. 
  •  Produce and manage reporting metrics and analytics for all leave cases and workers’ compensation claims.  Presents reports as requested.
  •  Assist in the creation and facilitation of leave administration and workers’ compensation training programs across all LARSON companies.
  •  Coordinate Light-Duty Program as needed.


 Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years of leave administration experience preferred. Strong communication skills and attention to details will be required to be effective in this role.  Knowledge of laws affecting leave administration including: FMLA, ADAAA, STD, LTD and Worker’s Compensation is required.
