FAQ (before you buy...)

• Does this door come with a screen?
  Yes. An interchangeable screen is included in the door. By simply removing retainer strips the glass can be exchanged with the screen. Reinsert the retainer strips once screen is in place.
• Can I rekey this lock?
  Yes. A locksmith would be able to help rekey this door to match Kwikset locksets.
• Does this door come with screw cover caps?
  Yes. Screw cap covers hide installation screws on the exterior of the door for a finished look.
• Does this door add energy efficiency?
  Yes. All storm doors add an extra layer of protection and create a dead air space between the storm and the entry door which blocks air movement. In addition, this model features an overlapping edge to seal out weather, dust and bugs. The stronger the window blows, the tighter the door seals to your opening. Double weatherstripping is applied to all sides of the frame for added protection.
• Can I get different finishes?
  Yes, other models offer the same door in different finishes. This model comes with Brass finishes. For Brushed Nickel, see 349-14.
• Who can install the door?
  With Larson's EasyHang system, you may choose to install the door yourself. Only Larson doors offer the easy-hang system, full color installation instructions, and a no-cut mounting rail. For you, this means no guesswork and a tight fit every time. If you choose to have someone install it for you, contact your local dealer for installer suggestions.

Caring for your door (after you buy...)

• How do I clean my door?
  • Glass: Wash glass using a household glass cleaner, or a warm water/mild detergent mixture, and a soft cloth or paper towel. Acetone may also be used.
  • Hinges/Hardware: Hinges and door hardware may require occasional lubrication. A silicone spray lubricant is recommended.
  • Door Finish: Non-abrasive paste wax may be used on your door's outer surface to help keep the finish looking new. (Follow directions on the product's label.) Rubbing alcohol or turpentine could also be used for tough stains.
• Can I paint my door?
  It is not recommended that you paint your storm door. A baked on enamel finish is applied to your door and alterations to the product could void the warranty. Larson offers multiple colors to coordinate with most exteriors. If you need a unique color, it is recommended that you seek painting advice from a body shop.
• How do I maintain my handle finish?
  1. Wash brass hardware using a warm water/mild detergent mixture, and a soft cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or cloths as they may damage the clear coat finish.
  2. Apply non-abrasive paste wax on the brass hardware to help restore its bright finish.
• How do I swap my glass and screen?
  Remove the retainer strips that hold the glass in place. This will allow the glass to be removed. Carefully move glass and replace with screen. Re-apply retainer strips to hold screen in place. See how to video for more information.
