Classic-View
Classic View doors need to have the surface scrubbed with steel wool, sand paper, or a Scotch Brite pad to remove any grease or oils. Apply an epoxy primer. Top coat with a premium grade of solvent-based acrylic lacquer or solvent-based enamel paint. For the best results, have it done at a body shop, as they have the proper equipment.

Aluminum Wood Core
Aluminum Wood Core doors need to have the surface scrubbed with steel wool, sand paper, or a Scotch Brite pad to remove the sheen (gloss), then cleaned with a solvent to remove any grease or oils. Apply an epoxy primer. Top coat with a premium grade of solvent-based acrylic lacquer or solvent-based enamel paint. For best results, have it done at a body shop, as they have the proper equipment.

Vinyl Wood Core
Vinyl Wood Core doors are NOT recommended to be painted. There is a chemical reaction with the paint that can cause the vinyl to bubble. The warranty IS VOIDED on any Vinyl Wood Core door that is painted.

Duratech doors are NOT
recommended to be painted. The
warranty IS VOIDED on any Duratech door
that is painted.

Weather-Tec

Weather-Tec doors can be painted with a premium grade of exterior latex paint or a solvent-based acrylic lacquer. Acrylic lacquer primer is recommended for superior adhesion.
